[Someone's found a cd player and a number of discs. He's saying the name of each piece simply before playing it via player.]

I can play all of these. I prefer classical, but modern cello is nice as well.

Yes, piano. Classical, jazz...

Do you play here in the City?

At The Blue Light, Wednesday through Sunday nights. Which is nice because it's almost exactly like my job back home.

You are a professional, then?

Well... I've played for a very long time and I studied music performance in college for three semesters until I ran out of money. So I don't have a degree, just a job.

Are you a professional?

No. I used to play on the streets sometimes.

A street musician? That sounds fun.

It passes the time.

Is there something you would rather be doing?

I have stretches of time when I am... not needed.
